In 1994, SG Global Biotech Sdn Bhd (previously known as Hai-O Pharmaceutical (M) Sdn Bhd) is the first traditional medicinal plant to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards in Malaysia. Furthermore, its commitment to quality has been rewarded with ISO 9002 in 1999 and ISO9001:2000 in 2002.

SG Global's core businesses are production and processing of herbal natural medicine, food supplements, and health products. The process includes using herbs as raw material and ready made medicines based on formula well-known for thousands of years.

The company is also actively involved in various Research & Development activities to ensure high quality and innovation in its products. Since its establishment, SG Global has been sharing its technology and know-how with China and local counterparts. We are committed to modernizing the natural medicinal herbs with science and technology in these synergistic partnerships.

SG Global is committed to delivering quality products by meeting stringent standards of GMP and GLP certifications, and the requirements of the Drug Control Authority of Health Ministry, Malaysia (MAL registration).

In year 2007, our pharmaceutical manufacturing arm was re-named to SG Global Biotech Sdn. Bhd. This signifies that we are advancing and aiming towards the biotechnology era, and simultaneously venture out beyond Malaysia, and propel ourself towards the global market.
